Balwyn North (also North Balwyn ) is a district of the Australian city ​​of Melbourne , which is located about 11 km northeast of the city center. In 2006 it had a population of 20,406. The northwestern part of Balwyn North is also known as Bellevue , the southeastern part as Greythorn .

In 1937 a post office was opened in Balwyn North. Today the cityscape is characterized by residential areas with single-family houses and large gardens, only a few multi-storey apartment blocks can be seen.
