Bamboo (unit)
Bamboo or Bämbuh was an East Indian volume and grain measure in Aceh , an Indonesian province on the northwest tip of the island of Sumatra .
The salt trade was used to calculate
- 1 Parah = 25 Bamboos or Punihs
As a measure of length, the bamboo was a smaller measure of the dain or mile in Ava and Pegu and was called Dha. 100 dah / bamboos gave 1 dain.

- ^ Johann Friedrich Krüger : Complete manual of the coins, measures and weights of all countries in the world. Gottfried Basse, Quedlinburg and Leipzig 1830, p. 14, limited preview in the Google book search, comment: based on the indication of 3 Prussian pounds 28 lot 3.5 quents = 3 Viennese pounds 8 lot 1 quent, which results in about 1824g each. The specification 1524 3 ⁄ 8 grams therefore seems to be a misprint. The specification of 3 pound 10 5 ⁄ 6 ounces also fits when using the dutch pound (page 257) of 496g
