The Banana.ch SA is a Swiss software company based in Viganello - Lugano . It produces the financial accounting software “Banana Buchhaltung” for small businesses and sells it in 127 countries worldwide with more than 250,000 licenses sold (as of 2017). According to the Capterra Ranking 2019, the company has 18,000 customers and 95,000 users use the Banana program.

history

The company was founded in 1990 under the name Parsec System SA by Domenico Zucchetti in Bironico as a stock corporation with a capital of 50,000 francs to sell financial accounting software for small businesses, associations and private individuals. Since 1999 the company has been called Banana.ch SA . The aim was to develop an accounting program that could be used by non-accountants with simple operation.

The "Banana Accounting 1" in 1989 for DOS - the operating system with a highly customizable chart of accounts developed. With "Banana 2" followed by a version for the Microsoft Windows operating system, which to use the Microsoft Excel - Tabellenkalkulationspropramm possible. In 1995, Banana was first sold abroad. "Banana 8", launched in 2015, brought additional options such as highlighting accounting lines in color, checking customer and supplier invoices, business plan and liquidity planning , dynamic data exchange in Excel and other programs, BananaApps, program extensions for managing libraries and files as well as the program and website in chinese language.

The extended version of Banana 8 brought novelties for advanced users in 2017. Around 500 ready-to-use templates and over 60 BananaApps were made available for free download on the website. With the BananaApps, bookkeeping can be personalized and adapted to the norms of the national standards.

The Banana Accounting 9 has re including a single license key, which is on all operating systems ( Windows , Mac OS X , Linux , iOS , Android can be installed).

Banana financial accounting program
