Bandera is the capital of the Belgrano Department in the Santiago del Estero Province in northwest Argentina . It is located 272 kilometers from the provincial capital Santiago del Estero and is connected to it via the Ruta Nacional 34 and the Ruta Provincial 61 . In the classification of the municipalities of the province, it is classified as 3rd category municipality.
