Ban'etsu Monogatari Gō
Ban'etsu Monogatari Gō ( Japanese ば ん え つ 物語 号 ) is a special train of the JR East railway company . The steam locomotive D51 498 has been running between Niigata and Aizuwakamatsu since 1999 . This special train runs every weekend between April and November. Ban'etsu Monogatari Gō runs on the Ban'etsu West Line regional train line, which is parallel to the Ban'etsu Highway .
