Bangda (Markam)

Bangda ( Chinese  帮 达 乡 , Pinyin Bāngdá Xiāng ; Tibetan སྤངམད འ ། , Wylie spang mdav ) is a municipality in Markam County in the city of Qamdo in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . Bangda has an area of ​​1024.86 km² and 7614 inhabitants (2000 census). Agriculture is only possible on the 6.7 km² arable land. For this, cattle breeding (cattle, horses) is well developed with almost 70,000 animals. Another important source of income for the community is the cultivation of Matsutake and Judasohr . In addition, there is the organized search for the Chinese caterpillar fungus .

Administrative structure

At the village level, Bangda is made up of six villages. These are:

  • Bangda village (帮 达 村), capital, seat of the municipal government;
  • Gyabgag village (加嘎 村);
  • Gyanedeng Village (加尼 顶 村);
  • Gyinzhü village (金 州 村);
  • Marnye village (毛 尼 村);
  • Ragdü village (然 堆 村).
