Bangladesh Premier League (Cricket)
The Bangladesh Premier League is the national Twenty20 - Cricket Competition in Bangladesh . This was introduced in 2012 as the successor to the National Cricket League Twenty 20 and is operated with a franchise system based on the model of the Indian Premier League .
Franchises
Since the league was founded, eight franchises have participated in the tournament series, but no more than seven at the same time. The teams were awarded in an auction on January 10, 2012. For the 2015/16 season, some franchises changed hands and new regulations on management structures were issued. This also went hand in hand with numerous name changes of the teams.
