Bani is a commune ( French commune rurale ) and a department encompassing the same area in the north of the West African state of Burkina Faso in the Sahel region and the province of Séno . It lies between Yalgo and Dori and is known for its seven mosques.
In addition to the main town, the area has 55 villages with a total of 59,278 inhabitants.
