Bank Spółdzielczy w Oławie
The Bank Spółdzielczy w Oławie is a Polish credit union headquartered in Oława . It is a member of the Spółdzielcza Grupa Bankowa banking group . The chairman of the bank is Bartosz Sobiesiak.
history
On April 26, 1946, the General Cooperative Bank with limited liability with its seat in Oława (Powszechny Bank Spółdzielczy z odpowiedzialnością ograniczoną w Oławie) was founded as one of the first banking cooperatives in Lower Silesia .
In 1948 and 1949 it was converted into the cooperative municipal treasury.
In 1956, a general assembly of delegates adopted a new statute, on the basis of which the bank was renamed "Cooperative bank with headquarters in Oława".
After the merger of the Agricultural Bank and the Central Association of Savings and Loans Cooperatives, the Bank of the Food Industry ( Bank Gospodarki Żywieniowej ), headquartered in Warsaw , was the organizational and financial center as well as the control center for the cooperative banks.
The cooperative bank in Oława was in the structure of the Bank of the Food Industry ( Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej ) until May 15, 1997, when the unification agreement with the Lower Silesian Regional Bank was signed. On May 1, 1999, the bank in Oława merged with cooperative banks in Jelcz-Laskowice , Wiązów and Domaniów .
Early 2002 on the conclusion of the contract of association with the Economic Bank of Greater Poland ( Gospodarczy Bank Wielkopolski decided).
On March 29, 2002, the bank became a member of the Cooperative Banking Group ( Spółdzielcza Grupa Bankowa ).
As of December 31, 2016, the bank's total assets amounted to 437.8 million zlotys (approx. 105.9 million euros ).
