The Bank Thaler AG (officially French. Banque Thaler SA ), headquartered in Geneva, is a Swiss private bank .
The company was founded in 1982 as an asset management company Incaval under the leadership of Andreas Carnot . In 1989 it received its banking license and subsequently operated as Inca Bank , until the Belgian Cera Group incorporated the company in 1997 and made it Cera Bank (Switzerland) . In 1998, as part of the merger of the Cera Group with the Kredietbank, it became the Swiss branch of the KBC Group . In 1999, a consortium of investors took over the bank and renamed it to its current name, Bank Thaler , based on the historical currency .
At the end of 2009, the bank had 23 full-time employees and total assets of 199.3 million Swiss francs. The assets under management amounted to CHF 1.698 billion.
