Hagen is a district of the Lippe town of Lage in North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

The village of Hagen was previously in the Bailiwick of the Detmold Office . In 1823 the Amt of Lage was set up, to which Hagen then belonged. The farmers Sprickenheide and Wellenheide also belonged to Hagen.

In 1939 Hagen had 798 inhabitants. In 1946 Hagen became a municipality in the newly formed Detmold district . According to the Detmold Act , Hagen was incorporated into the municipality on January 1, 1970, and on January 1, 1973, it became part of the newly formed Lippe district.

Museums

The Westphalian industrial museum Ziegelei Lage is located north of the city center in the district of Hagen. It shows both pre-industrial and machine brick production. Furthermore, an exhibition shows how the Lippe migrant goats lived and worked. The museum offers demonstrations and special adventure offers for children.
