The building Bank of New Zealand is a monument in Oamaru in the region Otago on the South Island of New Zealand .

The former branch of the Bank of New Zealand is located on the corner of Itchen Street and Thames Street and is part of the Harbor / Tyne Street Historic Area . Today the building, built in 1878 under the direction of the Forrester & Lemon architects, is used as a theater.

On July 2, 1982, the building was classified by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust under number 2279 as a Category 2 monument (Historic Place Category II) .
