Bankingclub is a German-speaking online and offline community . It is a closed network that had more than 72,000 members in 2011 and was one of the largest in the European banking industry .
Companies
The company was founded in 2005 by Thorsten Hahn in Cologne . The online activities on web-based social networks such as XING , Twitter and Facebook quickly grew to tens of thousands of members and have been brought together via the company's own website bankingclub.de since 2007. In 2011, Thorsten Hahn was the most networked person of all 10.8 million members on the XING platform with 35,266 contacts.
For a fee, members of the banking club can take part in the numerous events. The core business includes regularly organized club evenings in the largest cities in Germany. In addition, the company regularly organizes congresses on the topics of customer relationship management , risk management , online marketing , information technology and compliance for banks. It is also the publisher of the online magazine Bankingnews ( ISSN 1864-0664 ), which is sent 40 times a year to over 52,000 subscribers.
