The company was founded in 1980 as an asset management company and converted into a bank in 1987 .

The Banque de Patrimoines Privés Genève was majority owned by François Rouge and Jean-François Furrer, each with 38.8 percent of the votes, and Didier Tibessart with 13.34 percent of the votes. With effect from 1 January 2010 all shares were the Norinvest Holding SA acquired and the Bank with its subsidiary, Banque Cramer & Cie SA merged .
