Bao Xin

Bào Xìn ( Chinese  鮑 信  /  鲍 信 , Pinyin Bào Xìn ) is a character from Luo Guanzhong's historical novel The Story of the Three Kingdoms . In it he is a general of the late Han dynasty .

He fought against the Yellow Turbans in the 80s of the 2nd century and joined the coalition against Dong Zhuo in 190 . During the battle on the Si River, he disobeyed orders and ordered his younger brother Bao Zhong to attack the enemy General Hua Xiong with around 5,000 armed riders . After Bao Zhong's death, Bao Xin serves General Xiahou Dun , who serves under Cao Cao . Bao Xin is killed in an attack on a Yellow Turban fortress in Shouyong (192). He leaves behind a son: Bao Xun .
