Bara Kagyu ( Tib. 'Ba' ra dkar brgyud ) or Barawa Kagyu is a bottom School of Drukpa Lineage ( 'brug pa BKA' rgyud ) -Schule of Tibetan Buddhist . Her teaching merges elements of the Shangpa Kagyu and Shiche teachings of Pha Dampa Sanggye with the teachings of the Drugpa Kagyu tradition. Their main monastery is Bara Drag Kar ( Tib. 'Ba' ra brag dkar ) in the Shang ( shangs ) Valley in central Tibet, the valley in which the Shangpa Kagyu School was founded by Khedrub Khyungpo Naljor . The tradition was founded by Barawa Gyeltshen Pelsang ( Tib. 'Ba' ra ba rgyal mtshan dpal bzang po ; 1310–1391), a disciple of Surphugpa Rinchen Pelsang ( Tib. Zur phug pa rin chen dpal bzang ).
