On December 27, 2012 it was announced that Fler will shoot the music video for Barack Osama on January 5, 2013. On January 30, 2013, a making-of for the video was published on YouTube . The single is the harbinger of Fler's album Blaues Blut , which was originally due to be released on March 1, 2013, but whose release was postponed to April 19, 2013. With the release of the single Barack Osama , the rapper G-Hot announced that he would henceforth perform under the name Jihad .

It shows Fler in front of two microphones , similar to a politician, with two German flags behind him. Fler is also shown with black sunglasses and a dark-skinned model .
