Barbara Buffy
Barbara Buffy (born 1979 in Günzburg ) is a German opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).
Life
Barbara Buffy, born in Günzburg and raised in Ichenhausen , studied school music at the Musikhochschule Würzburg and opera singing with Rudolf Piernay at the Hochschule Mannheim .
During her studies in 2006, Barbara Buffy sang “Matilda” in Handel's Ottone as a guest at the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater Halberstadt / Quedlinburg .
After that she was engaged at the theater in Bremen and sang touring in Saarbrücken, Braunschweig, Flensburg, Ulm, Oldenburg and Coburg.
Awards
In July 2009 she was awarded the prize of the Alexander Girardi International Singing Competition in Coburg .
