Barbara Geiser

Barbara Geiser (born April 20, 1948 in Langenthal ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Barbara Geiser was on the city council (legislature) of the city ​​of Bern between 1989 and 1998, and in 1998 she was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . In the same year she replaced the resigning Ursula Bäumlin in the National Council , but was not re-elected in the 1999 elections. From 2002 to 2008 she was a member of the management team of SP Switzerland. In 2008 she took a seat on the board of the Swiss Workers' Relief Organization , since 2011 she has been its co-president.
