Barbara Korun

Barbara Korun (* 1963 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian poet .

Korun studied comparative literature at the University of Ljubljana and works as a language consultant at the Slovenian National Theater. Korun has published three volumes of poetry so far. A small volume of her poems has been published in English translation, some poems are also available in German translation. Korun was invited to the European Capital of Culture Cork in 2005 and to the Ruhr area in 2010 . Korun is co-editor of the Slovenian literary magazines "Apokalipsa" and "Nova revija". She is a member of the Slovenian PEN
