Barbara Rose (* 1965 in Neuwied ) is a German writer .

Life

After graduating as a journalist, she first worked as a copywriter and then switched to public service broadcasting. For thirteen years she worked as an editor for television and moderated children's and youth programs on the radio. As a freelance journalist, she has also written reports and glosses for parents , Elternfamily , Brigitte , Familie & Co , KidsLife .

In addition to her work as a writer, Barbara Rose gives writing courses: storytelling workshops for primary school students, writing courses for children and young people, as well as courses for editors of school newspapers. For adults it offers advanced training in reading promotion, coaching for reading mentors and readers.

Barbara Rose is a member of the Association of German Writers , the Friedrich Bödecker Circle and the Association of German Writers in Baden-Württemberg. She lives with her husband and four children near Stuttgart.

  • 2nd place for “Tidying up is nothing for pirates” (arsEdition publisher) in the “picture book bears” reader award, awarded by a children's jury
  • 900 children in Luxembourg voted for the children's thriller “A Finding Pig for All Cases” (Thienemann Verlag) in fourth place in the reading game “Freed um Liesen”
  • “A Finding Pig for All Cases” (Thienemann Verlag) as a radio feature on Krappschass & Co., Luxembourg
  • “A really nice afternoon”, short story, is one of the winners in the short story competition organized by the online magazine Rossipotti
  • Award of the picture book "Tim, Marie und der Computerdrache" (Kerle Verlag / Herder) at the Munich Book Show 2010 ("The 100 Best")
