Barbara Scherle (born January 23, 1972 in Schwabmünchen ) is a German journalist and television presenter.

Life

Barbara Scherle is a graduate economist with a focus on economic policy and business psychology and completed a television traineeship at Sat.1 Süd in Augsburg and Munich. She moderates the kabel eins news and is an editor at ProSiebenSat.1 TV Germany . Barbara Scherle worked for many years as head of duty, moderator and planning editor at the news channel N24 . From 2012 to 2015 she was also part of the team of moderators at Deutsche Welle and presented the business magazine “Made in Germany”.

For years, the news journalist has moderated various events, from panel discussions to award ceremonies. One focus is on sustainability and climate protection.

She worked for the German Red Cross as a press spokeswoman , including in Sri Lanka after the tsunami disaster . Until 2015 she was a lecturer at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe and taught the subject of news in the KulturMediaTechnologie course.
