Barbara Zeizinger

Barbara Zeizinger (born March 8, 1949 in Weinheim ) is a German poet and travel writer.

life and work

Barbara Zeizinger studied German , history and Italian and also taught these subjects. She is a member of the European authors' association Die Kogge in the Association of German Writers and in the Hessian Literature Society.

Barbara Zeizinger is a member of the editorial team of the German-Polish cultural magazine Zarys and organizes thematic readings and projects with the literary group Poseidon , which also include collaboration between writers and visual artists from the BBK . As a poet she works with the painter Eberhard Malwitz . The aim of the interdisciplinary collaboration is a joint exhibition with readings. Barbara Zeizinger also wrote several librettos for children's operas in collaboration with the Darmstadt composer Cord Meijering , which were performed at the Darmstadt Music Academy. Barbara Zeizinger is also a journalist and writes reviews of volumes of poetry.

In 2005–2007, Barbara Zeizinger attended Kurt Drawert's text workshop in Darmstadt . Since then she has been visiting Textwerkstatt II under the direction of Martina Weber. Barbara Zeizinger lives and works in Darmstadt.
