Barbat (officially Barbat na Rabu , German Barbat on Rab ) is the southernmost town on the Croatian island of Rab .
The village was originally characterized by agriculture , sheep breeding and fishing , today tourism dominates .
The Barbatski Channel, which lies between the islands of Dolin and Barbat , is named after this settlement.
