The Barbecke is a brook in Hattingen that flows into the Ruhr on the left . It flows southeast of Niederwenigern . It runs along the Lange Straße , among other places . It empties into the Ruhr on the street Am Kempel .

At the Barbecke, the friendship tunnel was once driven in the mountain.
