The Barber Cove is a small, strewn with rocks bay on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located in the eastern part of Right Whale Bay between Bluff Point and Craigie Point .
It is recorded as Scott Bay in 1930 British Discovery Investigations maps. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1963 after the Leading Seaman John M. Barber, who was involved in the survey of the area around this bay in 1961 on board the frigate HMS Owen .
