The Barcaldine Stones are two menhirs , ( English standing stones ) west of the A828 road, north of Barcaldine near Benderloch not far from Loch Creran in Argyll and Bute in Scotland .

Although both stones stand together, only one is in situ , the other has been leaned against the first after being removed from its original position to facilitate tillage. The area is rich in menhirs but also in clyde tombs , to which such stones may also have belonged.

The 1.7 m high unset stone is rectangular in profile with a width of 0.85 m and a thickness of 0.2 m and has a point. The second stone is 1.6 m high, 0.6 m wide and 0.3 m thick.

Another pointed, broken 2.1 m high menhir stands near Castle Farm in Barcaldine. There are also the remains of three Cairns . An illustration from 1879 in Loch Etive and The Sons of Uisnach ( German  "Loch Etive and the Sons of Uisnach" ), published by MacMillan & Co., shows the remains of two double circles at Barcaldine. You can be part of the three Cairns, which are about 170 meters southeast of Castle Farm.

Barcaldine Castle is a residential tower north of Benderloch.
