The Bargunsegner is the Rhaeto-Romanic dialect that is spoken in Bergün in the canton of Graubünden and parts of the Albula valley . It belongs to surmeirischen language , but preserved, not least due to the fact that Bergün in contrast to much of Mittelbünden the Reformation joined and confessional for Engadin oriented toward some peculiarities.

The existence of the Bargunsegner is seriously threatened, as it is spoken by only around 10% of the population in its area of ​​origin.
