Barika ( Arabic بريكة, DMG Barīka ) is a municipality in the Batna province in northeast Algeria with 98,141 inhabitants (as of 2008). It is located 345 km southeast of Algiers .

history
Until 1874 it was a military post of 65 people belonging to the Batna Military District. It became a parish on November 13, 1874.
