The Barker Peak is a 2,200 m high mountain peaks on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises 5.8 km west-northwest of Mount Terror and is the more westerly of two peaks near the southern end of the Giggenbach Ridge .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named him in 2000 after Major James Richard Millton Barker (* 1926), commanding officer at Scott Base from 1970 to 1971 and manager of the New Zealand Antarctic Program from 1970 to 1986.
