The Barnes Glacier is a glacier on the Fallières coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows west to Blind Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the Canadian physicist Howard Turner Barnes (1873-1950), a pioneer of ice research .
