Bernard "Barney" John Hayhoe, Baron Hayhoe PC (* 8. August 1925 , † 7. September 2013 ) was a British politician of the Conservative Party .

Life

Hayhoe was a Member of Parliament in the UK's House of Commons from 1970 to 1992 . Until 1974 he represented Heston and Isleworth , from 1974 then Brentford and Isleworth. During this time he had ministerial responsibility for the Army (1979–81), the Civil Service (1981–85) and the Health Secretariat (1985–86).

In 1985, Hayhoe was named Privy Councilor ; In 1992 he was appointed Life Peer with the title Baron Hayhoe, of Isleworth in the London Borough of Hounslow .
