Baron Egerton
Baron Egerton , of Tatton in the County Palatine of Chester , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The title was created on April 15, 1859 for the Conservative House of Commons William Egerton .
His eldest son, the 2nd Baron, was also elevated to Earl Egerton , of Tatton in the County of Chester, and Viscount Salford , of Salford in the County of Lancaster on July 22, 1897 . But he had no sons, which is why these two titles expired on his death on March 16, 1909. The barony fell to his younger brother as the 3rd baron. When his youngest son, the 4th Baron, died childless on January 30, 1958, the Egerton barony also went out.
