Baron Faringdon

Baron Faringdon , of Buscot Park in the County of Berks , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The family residences of the barons are Buscot Park near Faringdon in what is now Oxfordshire and Barnsley House near Cirencester in Gloucestershire .

Award

The title was created on January 24, 1916 for the Liberal Unionist MP and Railway Manager Sir Alexander Henderson, 1st Baronet . This had already been awarded the subordinate title Baronet , of Buscot Park in the County of Berks, on August 5, 1902 .

Today's title holder has been his great-grandson Charles Henderson as 3rd Baron since 1977 .

The heir ( Heir Apparent ) is the son of the current title holder, Hon. James Henderson (* 1961).
