Baron Hazlerigg

Baron Hazlerigg , of Noseley in the County of Leicester , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The family seat of the barons is Noseley Hall near Billesdon in Leicestershire.

Award

The title was created on February 12, 1945 for the Conservative politician and Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire Sir Arthur Hazlerigg, 13th Baronet . This had inherited from his grandfather in 1890 the subordinate title 13th Baronet , of Noseley Hall in the County of Leicester, which had been awarded to his ancestor Thomas Hesilrige (1564-1629) on July 21, 1622 in the Baronage of England.

Today's title holder has been his grandson Arthur Hazlerigg, 3rd Baron Hazlerigg , since 2002 . The Baronetcy is currently dormant because it has not yet legally proven its entitlement to this title.
