Harborough is a district in the county of Leicestershire in England . The administrative seat is the city of Market Harborough . Other significant locations are Broughton Astley , Fleckney , Great Bowden , Houghton on the Hill , Lutterworth , Kibworth and Scraptoft .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was created from the merger of the Urban District Market Harborough and the Rural Districts Market Harborough, Billesdon and Lutterworth.
