Baron Howard of Escrick
Baron Howard of Escrick was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .
The family seat of the barons was Escrick Estate in Escrick in the Selby district in North Yorkshire until 1668 and then Tollesbury Hall in Tollesbury near Maldon in Essex .
Award and expiration
The title was created on April 12, 1628 by Letters patent for Sir Edward Howard . He came from the aristocratic Howard family and was a son of the 1st Earl of Suffolk and grandson of the 4th Duke of Norfolk .
The title expired on the death of his grandson, the 4th Baron, on April 29, 1715.
