Filipovići ( Serbian-Cyrillic : Филиповићи) is a village in the Opština Loznica (Loznica municipality) in western Serbia .
Surname
The name of the village is derived from the Serbian variant (Filip) of the personal name Philipp .
geography
Filipovići is located in the Opština Loznica , in the Okrug Mačva in north-western central Serbia , in the historical Jadar region , which is part of the Serbian- Bosnian border region Podrinje , named after the Drina River .
The village is located on the slopes of the Ripanjske površ and in the valley of the Grubanovac river . Filipovići does not have its own village forest .
Some of the farmers have their fields in Lozničko Polje and some of the villagers are bricklayers. The villagers make a living from agriculture and animal husbandry. Among other things, raspberries and blackberries are grown.
The climate in the village is continental . The Opština Loznica was hit by a severe storm in July 2009, with great hailstorms . Filipovići and the neighboring village of Simino Brdo were hit hardest, with major property damage throughout the village.
The village is located southeast of the municipality capital Loznica. The neighboring villages of Filipovići are: Cikote , Draginac , Simino Brdo and Donja Badanja .
The rivers Jadar , Grubanovac and Cernica flow through the village area .

The place had 131 inhabitants at the 2011 census, compared to 182 inhabitants in 2002. According to the last three population statistics, the population of Filipovići continues to fall.
