Baron Rea

Baron Rea , of Eskdale in the County of Cumberland , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on June 3, 1937 by Letters patent for the liberal politician and businessman Sir Walter Rea, 1st Baronet . As early as July 8, 1935, he was given the subordinate title Baronet , of Eskdale in the County of Cumberland, in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom .

Today's title holder has been his great-grandson Matthew Rea as 4th Baron since 2020.

The heir ( Heir apparent ) is the son of the current title holder Hon. Ivan Rea (* 1992).
