Baronie (confectionery manufacturer)

Baronie (family names of the founders: Ba rents, de Ro th and Nie uwenhuis) is a Belgian confectionery company founded in 1920 , the parent company of which is Sweet Products , of which Fons Walder is the owner and CEO .

Baronie produces a wide variety of chocolate articles at four locations, e.g. B. pralines , toffees and seasonal products, which they sell to discounters in Benelux , France , Germany and Canada under their own and foreign names .

The company is managed by Jean-Marie van Logtestijn and Jozef Slootmans. The gross turnover in 2009 was approx. 41.8 million euros.

In 2011, Baronie / Sweet Products took over the Stollwerck Group from Barry Callebaut, which was considerably larger with sales of around EUR 500 million .
