Barranco de Badajoz

Barranco de Badajoz is a gorge in the southeast of the island of Tenerife ( Canary Islands , Spain ) in the municipality of Güímar .

The gorge has been inhabited since the Guanche times and was ceded to the Castilian troops by the last Guanche king of Güímar, Añaterve, after the arrival of the Castilian conquerors. The Guanches called the gorge Chamoco . The gorge is where Canarian mummies were found .

The canyon is known in Spain for reports of paranormal phenomena ranging from the appearance of lights, UFO sightings and strange creatures, and satanic rituals to the apparitions of angels.
