Barrex

Barrex , also Barrecis (possibly “the highest”), is the name of a Celtic deity who was worshiped in northern England . The Interpretatio Romana equates him with Mars .

Mars Barrex is documented in a single dedicatory inscription from Carlisle on Hadrian's Wall in Rome ( The Roman Inscriptions of Britain (RIB) [1] ).
