Barros is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Barros is located in the Vila Verde County in the Braga District . The community had an area of 3.8 km² and 334 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Barros, Gomide , Sande and Vilarinho were merged to form the new municipality União das Freguesias de Sande, Vilarinho, Barros e Gomide .
