Barry Williams (athlete)
Barry Williams (born March 5, 1947 ) is a retired British hammer thrower .
At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 he won bronze starting for England .
In 1971 he was eliminated from the qualification at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki , and in 1972 he came in 16th place at the Olympic Games in Munich .
At the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch in 1974, he finished fourth.
In 1972 he became English champion. He set his personal best of 73.86 m on July 1, 1976 in Blackburn .
