Bartholomaios von Arianz , real name Ioannis Kessidis (born August 12, 1968 in Kastoria ) is auxiliary bishop of the Greek Orthodox metropolis of Germany of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople .

Life

Bartholomaios studied chemistry at the University of Bonn and theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki . On March 4, 1995 he was ordained a deacon and in the same year appointed archdeacon of the metropolitan area of ​​Germany. On September 8, 1996, he was ordained a priest by Augoustinos of Germany and made an archimandrite . Afterwards he was pastor of the Greek Orthodox parish of the Holy Prophet Elias in Frankfurt a.
