Bartholomew Kim Kyon Pae

Bartholomew Kim Kyon Pae also Bartholomew Kim Hyeon-bae (Korean: 김현배 바르톨로메 오; born August 23, 1906 in Yesan , South Korea; † April 30, 1960 ) was a Korean Roman Catholic Bishop and Vicar Apostolic .

Life

Kim was ordained a priest on May 21, 1932. Pius XII. appointed him on June 13, 1947 prefect of the Apostolic Prefecture of Zenshu. On July 12, 1950, their name was changed to Chonju Apostolic Prefecture. On January 26, 1957, the prefecture was promoted to the Apostolic Vicariate and Kim became Titular Bishop of Agbia . On May 21, 1957, Thomas F. Quinlan , Vicar Apostolic of Chunchon , ordained him bishop with the assistance of Paul Marie Kinam Ro , Vicar Apostolic of Seoul, and John Baptist Sye Bong-Kil , Vicar Apostolic of Bishop of Taiku.

His motto was Adveniat regnum tuum .
