Bartolomeo I della Scala

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bartolomeo I della Scala († March 7, 1304 ) from the Scaliger family had been lord of Verona since the death of his father Alberto I della Scala in 1301.

Bartolomeo was married to Constanze di Svevia, daughter of Corrado de Antiochia ( Staufer ) , from September 30, 1291 . The couple had a son, Cecchino († February 26, 1325), who in 1304 did not succeed in the succession in Verona due to his youth (he was less than 10 years old). Cecchino was married twice, the first time to Agnes Visconti, the daughter of Matteo I. Visconti , the second time to Gaia, the daughter of Guccello of Camino.

The tomb of Bartolomeo I della Scala is located at the Scaliger tombs in Verona.

Bartolomeo's successor was his brother Alboino I della Scala
