Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Baruta ( Baruta for short) is a Venezuelan city in the state of Miranda . It is the administrative seat of the Baruta district.
In the 16th century, the Baruta tribe under the leadership of Guaicaipuro fought with other Caribbean tribes from the region around Caracas against the advance of the Spaniards.
Today Procter & Gamble's South American representative is located in the country's 16th largest city .
