Barzach
Barzach ( Arabic برزخ, DMG barzaḫ , barrier, obstacle, separation, barrier ', also Barzakh ) refers to a barrier or partition in the Islamic faith. It is often used in connection with a barrier between this world and the hereafter that separates the dead from the living until the day of resurrection . Alternatively, the duration between life and resurrection is also known as the time in the grave .
All deceased, except the martyrs ( Shahid ), go through the Barzach phase . Because they like the Christian purgatory , even purgatory , called a temporary state between heaven and hell called, it is often mistakenly compared to this. Since Barzach is not a place for the purification of sins, it is more like limbo . However, there is the idea of the questioning of the deceased by the angels of death Munkar and Nakīr and that the mental pain that he feels there when seeing the fire, which symbolizes his bad earthly deeds, could lead to the purification of his soul.
Furthermore, Barzakh is considered a world that stands between the spiritual and the material world, which people also enter while sleeping in their dreams, in trance or meditation. Hell and Paradise are also manifested in this , and it is possible to encounter angels , jinns and satans in them.
