Basarab II.
Basarab II († around 1458 ), son of Dan II, was prince of Wallachia from 1442 to 1443.
After the Ottoman partial victory over Transylvania in 1442, Basarab II was appointed Prince of Wallachia by Johann Hunyadi . With the help of the Ottomans, however, Basarab II was dethroned again by Vlad II Dracul in 1443 .
